Within Feedster's limits, RSS Zeitgeist requests the latest 400 items matching your query, in four RSS files of 100 items each. The number returned may be less than 400 since duplicates are removed. Depending on the time span covered by the pubDate of the RSS items, the results are grouped by hour, day, or month.

MagpieRSS parses the RSS, and the very nice PHP/SWF Charts produces the chart.
